Spring Lakes Subdivision Annual Kids’ Fishing Derby Saturday, June 28th

Saturday June 28th 7:00 AM – 11 AM at the Dam

Early Registration: Contact Jeff at 636.288.0768 to register. Early registration is encouraged.

Late Registration starts at 6:45 am at the Dam.

Please bring and donate drinks and treats to share.

Volunteers Needed

Volunteers needed to help setup, keep records, cook, give out prizes, tear down, and pack up. (The coordinator will be in a sling due to recent surgery). Please contact Jeff to volunteer at 636.288.0768 .

Prizes

Prizes will be given in two categories:

1.      Biggest Catfish

2.      Biggest Bass

Prizes for each category:

1st Place – Rod and Reel Combo

2nd Place – Fishing Gear

3rd Place – Plastic Baits

Prizes will be based on weight.

The tie breaker will go to the longest fish.

 Rules

·       Ages 15 and under

·       Participant must be a child or grandchild of either a resident of Spring Lakes Subdivision or of the Villas of Spring Lakes

·       There must be an adult present for the child at the lakes

·       Adults may help with fishing gear, lures, bait, snags, tangles and casting

·       Adults may NOT hold the rod while fishing, set the hook or reel in any fish

·       Adults may help once this fish is on the bank

·       Another person may dip net the fish

·       Only one rod in use per child

·       No more than 3 hook per rod

·   To Keep it fair for all kids, if a rule is broken the fish catch will be DISQUALIFIED

·       This is a kids’ tournament ONLY, not an adult tournament

·       All fish will be weighed and measured then released

·       If you want to keep your fish bring a cooler and ice to keep it fresh
